18 with added kate

My longest run ever, 18 miles, done today with Kate who popped up the motorway to sample some of Lancashire's finest rain and mud, indeed the only time the rain stopped was when it turned to snow. We had a fun if freezy run. The post run feast was well and truly earned. And, in an unexpected twist, the fettle went well and Kate's freewheel was removed. A truly top day!

Very impressed with you both doing 18 miles in today's conditions!

trio - I think kate is hoping we'll head her way for some swooshy singletrack.

julbags - cake did come, has had an irreversible collision with my mouth.

simon - we ran a plan-b route, didn't go higher than Georges Lane, did extra loops lower down. It was pretty grim up there.

cake and "irreversible mouth collision" - the best outcome surely!
