The holiday excess must now be counterbalanced. It's going to be all healthy eating and exercise this week. Stocked up on veggies this morning and ran 4 miles this afternoon. I hope we can at least stick to the regime until Thursday!

Really? I think this blog tends to show me as I am, which is one of those people with loads of good intentions but practically no ability to see them through. I lack mental fortitude. Shortly after blogging about the healthy eating I had a packet of hula-hoops and before bed I polished off the last of the Grasmere gingerbread I'd brought back from the Lakes. I'm always starting again tomorrow!

kate - being a giffer and therefore child of the 70's and 80's I was brought up on public information "protect and survive" films. I know the only thing more deadly than the imminent arrival of soviet missiles is a chip pan fire. There'll be no giant vats of boiling hot oil in this house!
