Holiday
Back from a lovely week in The Lakes, we stayed in the same cottage in Ambleside as we did at Easter. We were again fabulously lucky with the weather, only one wet day, which we dedicated to Scrabble and drinking half-price red wine from Booths. To summarise the rest of the week we did some walking, some eating, some drinking, the best of each being The Fairfield Horseshoe, smoked Cumbrian cheese and a pint of Dizzy Blonde in The Golden Rule pub. Glyn finally freed his inner Julia Bradbury and was lured out of tweed and waxed cotton and into technical fabrics. Flipper ran herself ragged everyday and collapsed in a tangle of legs and tail every night, dreaming as I did, of rabbits and sheep and just one more hill.

Sounds lovely & amazing pic. Welcome home : )
It looks stunning. Simply fabulous.
sounds like a perfect trip to the lakes. now glyn has discovered his inner bradbury, his shouting everything in an over enthusiastic manner?
have to agree with the others..it sounds fabulous :-)
It was fabulous. I am trying not to be all post-holiday grumpy, but it's not easy.
It all sounds lovely, is Glyn sold on the idea of technical clothing? I find booking the next one is the only way to get over the post holiday blues!
