Ten

Faffed about a bit when I got in from Uni so missed the opportunity for daylight riding. Took the cross-check to do a loop that I know takes just the hour, my legs certainly not interested in a anything longer tonight. Route was half road and half trail, I love the versatility of riding a cross bike. I forgot to take my camera so the only photo-evidence of the ride had to be captured with the iphone which is rubbish in low light so I did the best I could with getting my face in the beam of my joystick!

Cross bike is definetly the way to go, I so want one! Nice when you have a route you know takes the hour!

I love my cross bike too :)
I just checked the forecast for rain and am getting nervous...it's looking pretty wet for the end of the week. It was fab today though.

there does seem to be a lot of 'cross peer pressure about at the moment!!

I bought my Surly cross-check last year, it's a great bike, really versatile, I got mine primarily for use as a tourer, there is a Lands End to JoG plan that constantly bounces around with some friends. If I was buying a 'cross bike with a view to racing, I'd be seriously tempted by a Kona Jake.

i also have a kinda lejog plan that's rumbling in the background....how about doing all 3 fell rounds starting with the ramsey and then biking between them.....mmmm!

Crikey! That'd be a challenge and a half. What sort of time frame would you want to try that in?

I think a lot of cyclists have a lejog plan somewhere in their head. Friend of mine did it the other year sounded like fun!
