Superstition

If I was superstitious I wouldn't blog this through some spooky fear I'd jinx myself, but here goes...... I ran today and it didn't hurt. After a cracking (literally) session at the physio yesterday I was feeling pretty good and reckoned a run was in order today. This evenings run club not really an option as it's the Chairman's Road Race and a two mile tarmac sprint is probably not the way to ease into things. I opted instead for a gentle 40 minute meander on the towpath and trail near to home this afternoon. Got home, did my stretches, all with no problem. I've got one more physio appointment booked and I'll continue to take it all a bit steady for a bit but I reckon the moaning is over!

Fingers crossed. I have a stiff neck and lower right back today, noticed it yesterday commuting on the bike. Couldn't think what I had done to myself and was worried I was about to join you on the injury step.

Then I remembered I had to help move a heavy, solid wood sideboard up some stairs on Sunday. Blooming DOMS!

Thanks everybody. I'll be taking it a bit easy and remembering to do all my exercises for the next few weeks to avoid a setback. I want to stay feeling OO, I've felt about 102 and waiting for a hip replacement the last little while, no fun. Good to be moving about again.

That's great news and I keep my fingers crossed that it stays this way - pain free!
