17 years later

Who'd have thought forcing my feet into microscopic torture shoes and removing all the skin from my fingertips by grating them against Derbyshire gritstone for a few hours could be so much fun? My first bit of climbing of any sort for 17 years was done today in the form of some bouldering at Burbage South under the watchful eye (and in the shoes of) Ads. A huge thankyou for looking after, not only me, but Kate and Jon too. My love of rock was reawakened today, I will not stray so far and for so long again, I have some finger strength to work on and some new shoes to test out. Fanbloodytastic!

Thank you for a great day. I was amazed just what a difference climbing shoes made!

Great photos btw!

I used to like bouldering/scrambling. Just didn't like it when it got that severe than you needed ropes.

Well done. I tried climbing once. There are cliffs down along the Brisbane river. It was challenging, fun, but much harder than I had thought. I've got no upper body or finger strength (typical cyclist!) LOL
