Krypton factor tent wrestling

A weekend away camping in the glorious English summer leaves the chore of trying to get the rain soaked tent dry. We have one of those pop-up tents, it's handy in that it goes up in seconds upon arrival at the campsite, but beyond that it is a bit of a cumbersome beast. It doesn't pop-down, it has to be wrestled into an unsatisfactory tangle of fixed hoop poles and a non separating double skin of canvas. Having spent 24 hours simply popped up in the backyard getting ever wetter the sun has put in an appearance. I realised just leaving it stood half in the shade was not going to be sufficient and a more concerted effort had to be made. In a manner akin to a cross between the assault course and mental agility rounds of The Krypton Factor it is now filling the entire back yard carabinered upside-down to the washing line in a manner that would have Gordon Burns giving me bonus points. If the weather could just be dry for an hour I reckon I'll progress to the next round and get to try and pack it away.

Lol, I've just set mine up in the garage to dry out. It is still soaked inside and out. I could pour the water out of it.

Still trying to dry out my sleeping bag(s) too.

lol we always watch the pop up tent people pack away with a big smile on our faces. You described it well.
