Support group needed?

My name is Vikki, and I'm a kit-aholic. I am indeed spending my Sunday afternoon weighing various items of outdoor kit, seeing how tiny I can squish them and then Tetris-like arrange them into a 25l pack. All kinds of stuff is looking like ridiculously heavy decadence, at 145g the air pillow is off the list, bubble wrap is looking like a good option for a sleeping mat, a new fleece is on the shopping list and is 155g too heavy for a long sleeved running top? I think I may have a problem, is there a support group for this sort of thing?

Just don't ever get together with Tea-kate or you're both in real trouble.

I took a table and chair with me last night, well a stool anyway. I'm guessing that wouldn't of made it onto your list either.

Furniture! That would cause me to choke on my carefully worked out calorie to weight ratio, dehydrated food!

Oh dear! What about a balloon bed?

www.balloonbed.com I've lain on one before and it seemed comfy enough though obviously there is always the risk of the balloons popping! There is no way I would use only a bit of bubblewrap to sleep on.

Julbags - yeah I was looking at that balloonbed website. I've decided I'm taking my sleeping mat, bubblewrap is I think just one sacrifice too many!

Would advise against the bubblewrap idea - used this myself (big industrial sized pockets too) and it was a hellish night. The balloon beds are great though I do recall an interrupted night's sleep as balloons popped randomly throughout the camp!

We wont judge you! ; >

My name is anthony and I am a weight weenie! I have tried to overcome my addiction of looking at the weight of items before their suitability but as of yet I am uncured.

Get a balloon bed, really comfortable although a bit slippy. Its a myth that they all pop. You may get a couple going down but no great shakes. Take a couple of spare balloons and it weighs exactly 100grams.

OMM bags are an extra 300grams over inov8 bags ;o)

Thanks for the support guys, glad to know I'm not the only weight weenie! I just ordered a balloon bed.
