Radio and racing

Bit of a mid-week catch up. Yesterday (Tuesday) I was on BBC Radio Lancashire, 2 hours on the Sally Naden show. I was mostly there to plug the Bloomfield Talks book launch which is coming up this Saturday, but the chat sort of meandered about a bit. I was nervous before hand and for the first few minutes and after that it was fun.

Tonight was the Lostock AC Chairman's Handicap Trail race. Much like the last Chairman's Handicap race, John thinks I can run faster then I really can so I started unnecessarily far down the field, I finished one before last. Like everything the club does, it was fun, but crikey my legs are aching now. I seriously need to lose some belly or I'm never gonna get any faster, it's May now and I still seem to have my winter/Christmas excess with me, it's to be gone by June!

Does radio Lancs do iPlayer?

sally - I'll be happy with 6lbs as a start.

rich - no, you need realplayer (nasty bit of software if you ask me) to listen to local radio again. For some reason they don't just use BBC iPlayer?

good work on both efforts :)
my xmas excess wasn't helped by easter excess, closely followed by boredom at work biscuit excess!

Have peeked at your book launch link, it looks like a fantastic project and the site looks great too. Just out of interest where is the project being coordinated from? Just wondered if it's supported in any way by your local council? Well done on what looks like a really great piece of work.

RB - the project is being overseen by an artist called Simon Grennan (Kartoon Kings). The local council are totally behind the project and have offered a lot of support. It's mostly lottery funded.

Exciting celeb stauts being on the radio ;-)
Jonh actually seems to either guess me about right or give me an unfair advantage and handicap me too much. I guess it's not as exact science in Lostic AC..
