Race night

Liver Hill fell race this evening, 5 miles with 800' of climbing. Boggy running that took me 1hr 1 minute to complete. It hurt quite a lot and it took me a good while after finishing to think I maybe enjoyed it. Best moment of the race overtaking 2 girls who'd stopped dead at a huge boggy puddle looking horrified, I waded straight through calf deep, up 2 places, yeah! Worst moment, the usual being overtaken by a septuagenarian! I resolve to train harder and eat less, I'm sure my belly has become a hinderance.

I've been overtaken by septugenarians in local races, probably the same one! Well done, I think you did brill!

fell running is the only sport where you get beaten by septugenarians, you'll get used to it ;)

Haha yeah I am starting to get used to being overtaken by septuagenarians, trouble is they always just seem to breeze by when I've been reduced to a wheezing shuffle!

Sounds a good time to me when its that boggy! I love reading about your running races, it'd probably take me 2 hours!

As long as there's improvement one day you'll catch them.

One day you'll be the septuagenarian barreling pass all those slow spring-chickens ... LOL Keep up the good work!

Don't for a minute think that you can beat those oldies. Most of them defy the laws of human nature and they just get fitter and faster with age.

I blame retirement, nothing better to do than run around in the hills.
