Winter Hill fell race
Perfect conditions for todays race, sunshine, blue sky, a bit of snow still underfoot. My official finish time was 3:01, two from last. It was as hard as expected, one of the climbs in particular was pure evil, near vertical. I was hurting a bit towards the end, but the cheer from my fellow Lostock AC members as I crossed the finish line made up for a lot. They were all really chuffed I'd made it, a good day out for the club with some members placing really well. It was a hard race, but in a perverse way I really enjoyed it. As this is my first year of fell racing, the only target I've set myself is to enter as many club champ races as possible and simply finish. I can work on improving my times then for next year!

Who cares what position you came in. That sounds like a great achievement to me!
According to the results you were 5th from last not 2 from last, I checked! Well done, that's a really good time and you got round in one piece and enjoyed it.

Well done, two from last is two better than my last race postion. It's an achievement just doing it. An evil time of year for it to be held.
