Trio, Kate and I, 3 girls, 3 bikes, no gears, and more fun than can be counted in the snowy Peak District today. The miles don't matter, the average speed doesn't matter, it wasn't that sort of ride, it was a ride to make new friends, take in the views and be glad to not be at work! We rode a lot, we pushed more than needs to be discussed, we all fell off (not very elegantly in my case), we fishtailed about in the snow, we stopped a lot for photos and oops we didn't quite make it down off the hills before dark and didn't quite have a light each. It was an absolutely top day out and one of those rides I can already hear myself discussing over some future pint, "Do you remember that snowy, singlespeed ride we did in the Peaks that time....." The discussion over a pint having to wait for a future day because the pub in Hope wasn't full of warmth and convivial good cheer so after a quick use of their facilities and a bag of hard to come by crisps we were all on our way home. Looking forward to the next time we all get chance to ride together again.

I'm very very jealous.
I've spent all day at work wishfully looking at the snow outside the window. Longing to be out riding!
I didn't think we pushed that much actually! Great ride, must be repeated, maybe with a hostel stay so we can have the pints.
I think I pushed more than you and Kate, that'll be with me being old!
Well I didn't want to mention how old you were and our superior fitness ;)
I was amazed how much we could ride, it'd be even more without the snow!
today we were singlespeed god(esses)!
were certainly need to do it again-we're all owed at least a slice of cake from the woodbine!
did glyn like his found pressie? is it enough for an arctic cat?
