Water, water everywhere but not a bath to be had.

Arranged to meet Trio and Carolyn at 11 for a ride. Left the house in sunshine that lasted for about a mile then hail, then rain. Most of the ride then was wet and windy. A short loop round to Lead Mines and the Nab was enough for me and I peeled off for home. Got home cold and wet to find Glyn plumbing in the new dishwasher hoping I didn't want a post ride bath because the water was off. Flipper hadn't been out on a walk so I figured since I couldn't get any wetter I may as well go straight back out so changed into my trail shoes and did a 2 mile jog with her. The dishwasher plumbing is proving more complicated than expected so the water is still off, I'm being as helpful as I can so am under the duvet with the laptop, experience has taught me it's best keeping out of the way until the job is finished. Sometime later I will hopefully get a bath and some clean plates.

I have the water heating up for a bath! Getting in soaked and heading out for a run, that is hardcore!

I don't know about hardcore, it was more necessity, Flipper gets pretty insistent about having a walk, there was no point getting dry and warm to have to go out again. And running, rather than walking was just to get warm!

All sorted now, the water is back on so I've had a bath. The new dishwasher is plumbed in, a section of wall had to be chiseled away to make the one I wanted fit, well it matched the rest of the kitchen better, how did I know the sticking out stainless-steel handle was going to cause problems? Glyn has the patience of a Saint so all is well.

I'm glad the plumbing adventure ended well! A couple of weeks ago, I got home from my ride one day to find the town had turned off the water supply for maintenance! I had not realized this was going to happen, so was staring in disbelief at the taps with no water coming out at all! Fortunately I only had to wait for an hour, but that seemed like a long time!

Ha ha, I remember when out dishwasher was plumbed in (at my insistence) took almost two days. Involved cutting a cupboard carcass in half to make a gap then putting remaining cupboard back together properly (harder than I thought), rewiring stuff and some serious surgery on the cupboard under the sink to get the pipes to fit. I still giggle when I think of when he moved the washing machine but didn't check the flex was long enough to reach the plug from its new position!
