Four

I've got to say if I owned a turbo trainer or a spinn bike I'd have been on it. Getting in, getting changed and heading out again in the dark was hard tonight, but I did it. The photo shows how long I rode for, don't expect any info on distance or speed, the Garmin couldn't believe I had the audacity to ask it to connect to a satellite so sat on the bike bars like a really expensive egg timer. Getting home and looking at it I think it thought we were indoors the entire time. It is one of the most counter-intuitive bits of electronic gubbins I've ever used and I once had to teach myself to use a Geiger counter in a hurry so I don't think it's that I'm shit with equipment. The ride was mostly uneventful, got beeped at once by a crap driver and had another pass me and then through their cigarette butt out of the window, nice that thanks, lung cancer related thoughts flashed through my mind momentarily, but I didn't actually wish them dead. Route was some main roads, country lanes and a sneaky bit of trail which was a bit spooky in the dark.

Other stuff...... I missed a lecture this morning because I totally forgot it was on and I stopped into Merlin Cycles on the way home and bought a beast of a bike lock because tomorrows ride may require additional security! Oh, and I hope the Americans have all been sensible and put their little ticks or crosses next to the bit that says "Barack Obama."

It may or may not work out, I have a hectic day tomorrow, I'm on a "school trip" and it's run club and Glyn has to got to Stoke-on-Trent and it's bonfire night and Flipper the dog is more terrified of fireworks than anybody would think possible. It will be one of those challenging days!

Mine gets really wibbly if you don't let it "find itself" though it improved when I downloaded some firmware onto it, have you got the latest version on it. Course mine is still hiding somewhere in the house, I really need to find it, going back to a simple hrm and watch is just rubbish.

I think I've got the latest version, I've only had it a couple of weeks. It's probably user error!

I put mine outside while I get ready, or in our lean to, that way it has the satelittes without me standing around outside just waiting!

I love mine! But it didn't come with the latest version, I upgraded straight away!

I stand no chance of upgrading anything the level of support offered to Mac users by Garmin is rubbish.
