Five

Always a possibility that one of the 30 would fall by the wayside but I had hoped to get a little nearer the end before hitting snags, but sometimes there is just too much to squish into a single day. So, ride five of thirty didn't happen. What did happen was, not much sleep because of feeling compelled to get up in the night to check that Obama had won, some serious stupidity on my part to not think about Wigan as a town with a railway station, a lot of time on trains into and out of Liverpool, some emergency taxi use to make it to stations in time for trains, a lot of walking, contemporary art of variable quality which at one point involved playing drums while standing next to a Yoko Ono stepladder. There was also rissotto, cake and beer. There was no riding, or even running. It's not even 8.30pm and I badly need to go to bed I'm so tired. Apologies fellow 30/30ers, normal service will resume for ride six!

Wigan is not a town with a railway station, it is a town with two train stations and the worst one-way system to get through known to man!

Shame you have missed a day, I'm wndering how far I'll get.

Yeah I know 2 train stations and it still didn't occur to me to try and catch a train from there! I could have managed then my ride part way, train part way to Liverpool plan that was thwarted by timetable discrepancies for the Liverpool train from Leyland!

Bummer jumbly. It's easy to forget about Wigan having all those stations though ;oP

It's because we never go to Wigan, even though it's really close, and whenever we do go we're always saying how convenient Wigan is with it's market and easy parking and it has a great bike shop in the form on Alans BMX. But, for some reason I just never wake up with Wigan on my mind or in my heart.

Haha, the Yoko Ono exhibition is best referred to as "challenging."
