Some bike stuff

Postie arrived this morning with my saddle from CRC so finally finished the 650b build. Had a lot to do today and somehow managed to resist getting out for a ride until about 3pm. Decided to stay fairly close to home for the first ride just in case any problems, just as well as I ripped the chain off first time I stood up and put any weight through the cranks. Home for a new chain link and back out in no time. Wet and muddy through the woods but fun. The White Bros forks seemed spot on, not too much bob when pedalling but took the edge off the bumps when needed. The rear wheel is quite a snug fit in the Voodoo frame so I might look into getting some Pacenti Quasi-motos just to give a bit more clearance. Overall first impressions are that this is gonna be a lot of fun to ride.

On a less fun note, my friend Mel rang me this morning to say that the bike I'd lent her last week has been stolen from outside her place in Blackpool. Been reported to the police but I don't hold out much hope of getting it back.

Thanks Trev, it took me long enough to build it. Rides nice too!
