The movies

Went to the flicks last night, first time in ages. Saw The King's Speech, well worth a watch.

The cinema is about 5 miles away, I ran, G drove, we planned for me to set off well in advance and meet up in the carpark. The cinema is also inconveniently close to Bolton Wanderers football stadium, they played at home last night. Match traffic meant I covered the five miles quicker on foot than G did in the car. If that hadn't meant me having to hang round in a carpark in my run stuff, freezing and being stared at like I was nutter, I'd have felt pretty smug about foot power beating petrol power.
