Cutting it short

It becomes apparent you're training for something quite long when cutting a run short due to inclement weather leaves you disappointed you only covered 12 miles. Todays planned long run had to be curtailed when the forecast 70mph gusting winds did in fact turn out to be true. It was difficult standing at times, never mind running, so the sensible decision was made to get off the hill.

Still, another 12 miles in the legs and the route choices for another 2 HPM checkpoints were finely tuned. Only 3/4 of team marathon-schmarathon were out today as Kate is riding the Strathpuffer. Good Luck!

Well done for even getting out there at all!

Kate seems to be doing quite well at the puffer :)

I was out riding and struggling to stand up. I only did 13 miles so you did much better than me! X

Fab pic!

Well done for managing the 12 - a great effort, you're a proper toughie.

That 'run' was a bit mental, I think my face is wind burnt. See you on the 29th for more!
